I was hoping that Obama would upset Clinton in the Keystone state primary but it was not to be. I am slowly but surely moving into the ranks of those who are concerned about the impact of this seemingly endless primary campaign on the general election. It's not the fact that it's still going on, it's the tone. I was appalled that Senator Clinton used the image of Bin-Laden in a teevee ad and talked about nuking Iran yesterday. Appalled but not surprised because scorched earth tactics have been the Clinton's speciality but using them against a fellow Democrat is potentially self defeating. Also, whose vote did Clinton expect to gain with her idiotic nuclear threats? Paul Wolfowitz? Richard Perle?
This is an election that is the Democrats to lose and the way things are going it's looking more possible than the batshit crazy Senator from Arizona could win. The objective facts are against that happening but we've had some crazy elections recently so anything is possible. One thing I'm sure of is that if Clinton and Obama continue to raise one another's negative ratings things could really spin out of control.
