The MSM likes to invent niche voters to talk about. Remember NASCAR dads in 2004? This election cycle we haven't heard much about them but we've heard a lot about oil prices and pain at the pump. Ouch.

I only thought about 2004's MSM voter cliche because of the cartoon below by Steve Bell about the Iraqi puppet guvmint's bending over and asking Western oil companies to have their way with them. Double ouch.
