The really cool cop/time travel show Life On Mars returns for its second and final season on BBC America. The premise is this: John Simm plays Sam Tyler, a cop from our time who is transported back in time to 1973 when the police operated very differently to say the least. It's a nifty idea that's well executed and features an amazing lead performance by John Simm. The BBC America web site has a swell LOM section but what really sends me is the 1973 versus 2007 quiz. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was.
Here's a preview from the show's run on BBC 1:
Simm also turned in a stellar performance in the recent third season of Dr.
Who as The Master, The Doctor's nemesis. Don't suppose you've been taping
any of them, have you?
What, no David Bowie? I protest!
