The sign is actually a leftover from the Mid-City festival and crawfish boil held a couple of months ago in front of the library. Knowing the persons involved in producing the sign I'd say they figured it would just get funnier if they left it up.

I like my version better Mr. Gloomy Pants. It's gotta have something to do with Homan.

I was at the branch today. They put it up for the fundraiser, and kept it up for the humor. About 1/2 of the people coming in commented on it. The other half were too busy hiding their crawfishy hands.

They let you in Homan? Standards mus be slipping. Of course, they don't have a no malakas sign...

I could have sworn I saw this up at Mr. Malaka's site first, and you're ahead of him on the list alphabetically.

I just noticed it the other night and there's probably good reason to keep it up, with the library sandwiched between K Jean's and Rouse with their regular boils in May.

All this is making my hungry. I wonder of K-Jeans still has decent bugs now that the heat's turned on?
