WWL's Katie Moore is reporting that Slow Eddie is moving fast for once: he's told his staff he's resigning and will be gone tomorrow. LINK. WWL-TV.com will have streaming video of a statement from Jordan in a few minutes. LINK.
UPDATE: It's actually happened. Jordan will be replaced by veteran prosecutor Keva Landrum Johnson who announced that she will NOT run at the next election. Nagin spoke too: blah, blah, blah...
UPDATE TOO: It looks as if there will be a special election to fill Jordan's spot. The timing is up to the Governor. It might wind up co-inciding with the race to replace PBJ.
They're still dodging questions about settlements, yadda, yadda, yadda. Cynthia Windy-Lewis is there too for some reason but she's been silent. Imagine that.
So, what do you think of Keva Landrum-Johnson? She worked for Eddie, so
how different can she be? Also, she works in Screening (did she just get
moved there?) which doesn't have the best track record within the DA's
office as far as I can tell. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't know much about her but she was there under Connick as well. Anyone
out there know anything about her?
What happened to Gaynell Williams? I though she was only on leave.
