INTO THE LENS

The New Orleans City Council will be dealing with the slow-mo camera scandal today. Slow-mo doesn't refer to the cameras themselves but to the glacial fashion that this scandal has moved from American Zombie to the MSM and finally to Council President Jackie Clarkson. LINK. Apparently Muppet's crony, former CTO and resume fraudster Anthony Jones spent a cool $3 mill on cameras when the budget called for $600K. Oopsie.

The Council is planning to ask the Naginites to justitfy and explain the discrepancy and it will be interesting to see what line they're peddling. There's always the "we're incompetent clowns" defense. The fact of the matter (not gray matter, the Naginites don't have a lot of that) is that much of the corruption in the Nagin administration revolves around Greg Meffert, Mark Kurt, Anthony Jones and their cronies. I hope Jeffrey's pal, Inspector General Robert Cerasoli is looking into the lens:
