CYNTHIA WINDY-LEWIS THROWS HER MOUTH IN THE RING
It's official: District E Councilwoman Cynthia Windy-Lewis is running to replace Oliver the Actor as an At Large Councilmember. Now she'll be able to bore and bamboozle the entire city, not just her largely desolate district. Speaking of obnoxious and mouthy people, Dyan (Mama D) French has also qualified to run At Large. I can feel the hot air, of course, it is still summer in New Orleans...
For all the Looziana political junkies out there, the Secretary Of State has a nifty, and frequently updated, web site where you can find out who has qualified for the October 20th election. LINK.
The Sec State's thing is cool.
If it was only about the entertainment value, I'd rather see a Quinten
Brown vrs. Mama D smackdown.

The entertainment value for his race is high. Mama D will make Cynthia look
shy and reasonable...

I beginning to think that the best we could hoped for was for Carter to run
and win so that we could get a good replacement in District C. You don't
think i scared him off, do you?
I hope not David. I've heard through the grapevine that Carter's not
running. Of course, much as I ahte to admit it: gossip can be wrong.
Hey, anybody got an opinion of David Lapin? I see him occasionally at the
dog park with his dog posse (two corgis, two boxers) and can give him a
noodge, if need be.
I voted for Lapin in the first round last year and even endorsed him on the
blog. It may have been the kiss of death.
I don't see why the Liprap spawn is any less qualified than the others.
I had heard that about Carter, but was joking about scaring him off.
Willard-Lewis isn't worried about being asked to explain her vote on the
IG's office. I'm not as down on that Cynthia as most bloggers, but she
voted to make the IG answerable to the council and now she's running in an
election that's only being held because of council corruption.
Maybve Georgina the dog should run? She's at least as smart as Renee
Gill-Pratfall.
Actually, we asked the little guy this morning if he wanted to run, and he
shook his head no. He's got pre-K to worry about.
